Who We Are

Founded in Ayobo, Lagos, Luminous She Initiatives was established to strengthen local food systems and advance environmental resilience through practical community driven action. We recognize that food security, sustainable livelihoods, and environmental stewardship are foundational to thriving communities. By addressing these priorities at the grassroots level, we create pathways for long term stability and inclusive development.

Women and youth are central to this transformation. Through urban and backyard farming initiatives, climate smart agricultural practices, and responsible waste management advocacy, we equip teenage mothers, young women, and underserved youth with the skills and opportunities needed to build income, resilience, and self reliance. By combining traditional knowledge with innovation, including digital tools like our WhatsApp Market Hub, we enhance market access, promote sustainable production, and strengthen household economies.

Collaboration anchors our approach. We work closely with schools, health centers, local councils, and traditional leaders to design scalable, community owned solutions that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through evidence informed programming and multi stakeholder partnerships, we are building resilient, food secure, and environmentally sustainable communities in Ayobo and beyond.
